June 2022

Dear Friends and Partners,

I write to you today to share with you a decision I have reached after my recent visit to Cambodia and following a deep and serious review with Heng. For many reasons we have decided that the time is rapidly approaching when we will need to close Tabitha Cambodia. I wanted you to be among the first to know.

May 2022

Dear friends and partners,

The month of May celebrates Mothers Day in many countries. It’s a time to recognize our mothers and to be recognized as a mother. In Cambodia, mothers are not celebrated yet mothers are no different than us. For many mums in Cambodia, the day-to-day struggle to care for, nurture, feed and provide safety for their children is a task than can be daunting. This newsletter is my tribute to the so very many mothers and grandmothers in our Tabitha programs for these women are my inspiration.

April 2022

Dear friends and partners,

Savings and planning, a gift of Tabitha Cambodia. Visiting families and staff on site visits is always a pleasure.  As we talk with so many families, a message coming through is always, savings is the methodology for our families to overcome the fears and uncertainty of life especially as the Covid pandemic has brought so many fears once again to the forefront.

March 2022

Dear friends and partners,

Water is a gift of life – it gives life to our bodies, nourishes our fields and allows life for our animals.  We had the rare privilege of watching a well being dug in Svay Rieng. In all honesty, these men are my heroes! We have the option of using wells dug mechanically – a very costly proposal as wells are charged by the meter, $15 per meter and makes the cost unstable and untenable.

February 2022

Dear friends and partners,

This morning I would like to introduce you to Suos Heng who is the Acting Director of Tabitha Cambodia. Heng has been with us for the past 25 years. Heng has worked his way up through the system beginning as a development staff, then in charge of housebuilding and now Acting. Director of Tabitha Cambodia. Heng is my successor.

January 2022

Dear friends and partners,

One of my greatest pleasures in life is going on site visits to our Tabitha Cambodia projects. My erstwhile companions are Heng who is the acting director and Therom our accountant. Our visits are always welcomed by managers and staff of our projects. Lunch time is a time of taking selfies amidst the beauty of our surroundings.

December 2021

Dear friends and partners,

In this festive month of December, all of us from Tabitha Cambodia want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. The very best news is that I will be returning to Cambodia on December 27, barring all Covid issues. In this season we would like to offer you a small list of our Christmas desires.

November 2021

Dear friends and partners,

This is the time of year in North America when we celebrate Thanksgiving. It is a time to remember the blessings and joys of the past year with family and friends.  Within our Tabitha Cambodia family it is also time to remember our blessings of the past year.
